MEDICAL MICRONEEDLING

With the revolutionary Dr. Pen microneedling treatment, patients can obtain clean, bright and scar free skin in just 3 treatment sessions. The Dr. Pen works by vibrating tiny needles into the skin, prompting it to go through the natural healing process. Stimulating the skin in this way also produces some of the components we lose through ageing, such as fibroblasts, collagen and elastin.

The depth of needle penetration can be altered during treatment, allowing for an individualised treatment plan for each client to minimise discomfort and maximise results in all areas, no matter how sensitive. A topical anaesthetic is used during treatment to further minimise any pain or discomfort.

How does it work
The Dr. Pen uses micro-needling technology and has a phenomenal effect on collagen and elastin rejuvenation. Active ingredients from the products used are delivered to the deeper layers of the skin via the micro-channels. The small footprint of the device makes it ideal for treating hard to reach areas such as around the eyes, nose and mouth. The Dr. Pen is also used to help improve the appearance of scarring and pigmentation.
This mechanism of injury doesn’t tear the skin like dermal rollers, which makes the Dr. Pen less traumatic to the skin. The treatment is performed by moving the pen over the skin, creating several micro-channels. Our aestheticians uses a topical anaesthetic before the treatment to numb the face thus minimizing the discomfort.
